Is sisal soft enough for bare feet in the bedroom?

Made from the natural fibres of the Agave sisalana plant, sisal has a rustic look but is very durable. “We used sisal in both the bedroom and dressing room of this home.” says interior designer Anouska Cave or Cave Interiors. “We wanted a natural, organic look, but comfort was equally important, as our client prefers to be barefoot at home. Sisal comes in a variety of weaves, so for this project we selected one with a larger weave that not only enhances the texture and visual interest of the space but also feels softer than many others. On stairs, I typically recommend a tighter, flatter weave for added durability and safety.”
