Restoration of an Early Victorian Grade II Listed House in Canonbury Conservation Area of Islington, North London

Grade II Listed House Restoration: Canonbury, Islington, North London

We restored and designed the interiors of this beautiful early Victorian Grade II listed House, reinstating all the original features that had sadly been neglected over the years. We removed all the modern additions and reintroduced fixtures and fittings more in keeping with the period of the architecture and original style. We restored the original cornices and architectural mouldings, doors and ironmongery, fire surrounds and sourced the wood and stone floor finishes throughout to suit the period.

As with many of our projects we designed the bespoke kitchen in house and commissioned its manufacture with a trusted kitchen and cabinet maker, who also produced all the built in joinery to our designs. We combined antique and modern light fittings, purchased antique and commissioned new furniture and soft furnishings as well as sourcing all the art throughout the house from a variety of suppliers and galleries. In short, we designed every aspect of the interiors from the initial architectural space planning right through to identifying and purchasing all the art and accessories on our clients behalf, thus providing a full turn-key service.
